CRE workflows haven’t changed in 30 years. You call lenders you know. You build OMs in PowerPoint. You track responses in a spreadsheet. You chase people for weeks. Lev rebuilt all of it from the ground up with AI at the center. We went deep with founder Yaakov Zar this week.
The Claude for CRE Masterclass Has Arrived
The AI for CRE Collective has spent weeks of heads-down work, and it’s finally DONE. The most comprehensive Claude Masterclass for Commercial Real Estate has arrived. 15 modules, every Claude capability mapped to real CRE work, from underwriting a stack of OMs, to building institutional decks in your brand, to plugging Claude into Yardi, Gmail, your calendar, etc.
It opens to the public on June 15th, 2026 at $997.
Premium Collective Members HAVE access to the Masterclass. It’s already in your classroom. Go watch Module 1.
If you’re Standard Collective Member, you can grab it as a standalone for $249 during the first 7 days, then it goes up. Upgrade to Premium later and we reimburse the difference, so there’s no penalty for jumping in now.
If you take a look at it now before it goes live - we have one ask: Go through it, then tell me what lands and what doesn't. This feedback is crucial.
WHAT’S COMING UP
Algoma Podcast drops | Wednesday, June 10 | 12 AM PT
We had Josef Bromovsky, Co-Founder & CEO of Algoma, give us a live demo. Type in any US address and within minutes you get zoning analysis, site capacity, flood zones, noise mapping, lot layouts, photo-realistic renders, and a pro forma — all driven by an AI agent you talk to in plain English.Josef co-founded Algoma out of Harvard Innovation Labs after watching developers burn tens of thousands of dollars just to find out a site won’t pencil. His claim: this cuts the entire pre-development process from three to four weeks and thousands in fees down to minutes.
DealGround Webinar | Thursday, June 4 | 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET
We broke down DealGround in one of our Tool of the Week newsletters (and Pod) last month. Now we’re going live with the team for a working session. Dan Mosher and the DealGround team will run the platform on real deals, walk through the 2026 roadmap (multifamily, office, the open-ended AI query layer), and take questions from attendees live. If you’re a retail or industrial broker, block the time. If you’re in multifamily or office, this is the one to attend so you understand exactly what’s coming for your asset class.
TOOL OF THE WEEK: Lev
The all-in-one AI platform for CRE financing.
Most sponsors and financing brokers run their deals out of three tools: Outlook, Excel, and memory. When a deal moves fast, something falls through the cracks - a lender who went quiet, a term sheet buried in a thread, a follow-up that never went out. Lev was built to replace that entire setup with one purpose-built platform that ties your deals, documents, contacts, and communications into a single AI-powered platform.
Yaakov Zar, Founder and CEO, built his first software company in middle school. He sold his last one - Dispatch, a field service platform - to Vista Equity Partners. He started Lev in 2019 with a specific thesis: commercial real estate professionals deserve software that is actually good to use. Not enterprise-heavy, not clunky, not built by people who’ve never closed a deal. Purpose-built, CRE-first, and genuinely fast to work with.
Here is what we saw inside the platform this week.
The OM that builds itself. You upload your documents - an underwriting model, a rent roll, whatever you have. Lev’s agents get to work: a research agent pulling comps and market context, a content agent writing the sections, a designer laying out the slides. Dozens of sub-agents working in parallel. The result is an institutional-quality offering memorandum in 8 to 12 minutes. What used to take a full day of manual work now takes a coffee break. Fully branded to your firm, custom fonts, logo placement, slide templates saved for every future deal.
Lender outreach on autopilot. Once your OM is ready, Lev matches your deal against 7,000+ active lenders using real-time data. You pick who goes on the list, hit send, and the platform handles the rest. Emails go out through your own Outlook or Gmail rails so they look like you wrote them. If a lender goes quiet, the follow-up goes out automatically. If a lender passes, the thank-you goes out automatically. If your contact moves to a new bank, Lev flags it and updates the profile (now that’s impressive).
The quote matrix that builds itself. When term sheets come back, Lev reads the emails, extracts the terms, and populates a clean side-by-side comparison table - ready to review or export to Excel in one click. No hunting through threads. No building comparison tables manually. The analyst work just happens.
The data compound. Lev’s agents aren’t siloed. The same research infrastructure that builds your OM also screens incoming deals, routes lender outreach, and keeps your contact records current. Every deal you run makes the system smarter about your portfolio, your relationships, and your lender network. Yaakov’s framing for it: imagine having an army of 30 people doing all the work, coordinating across documents, relationships, and communications in real time.
Honest take:
This platform is built for brokers and sponsors running real volume. If you’re doing a deal a year, there’s more here than you need. But if you’re managing an active pipeline, the time compression is real and it compounds. The team also just launched Lev Vault (deal room and document management) and Lev Index (smart data extraction). The pace this team ships at is impressive and genuinely hard to keep up with.
BONUS
Almost in passing, Yaakov dropped the line they use internally at Lev: just because something is in monospace font and looks like code doesn’t make it more complicated than plain English in a nice font. That was his way of saying the intimidation factor around AI tools is the biggest thing holding people back - not the tools themselves. Coming from someone who’s been building software since middle school, it lands differently than when anyone else says it.
